Usually the agency, office, or job provides the pay based on an annual salary.

This is a general calculation and does not implement other factors in a pay rate.
Most of the salary information is listed as an entry level position, but this is not guaranteed.
Some salaries might be provided based on an already certified status.
Also, the salaries do not typically include other additional pay, such as money that is provided for per diem, clothing allowances, stipends, etc.
We do try to note if the job pays extra for having a college degree, speak a foreign language, and/or there is extra pay for shift differential work.
Keep in mind, our website generally lists the starting pay from date of employment and a significant number of agencies pay more following completion of an academy, training course, or certification.
